All You Need Is What You Already Have

As a Christian, all what you need you have it. Here’s why!

You gain full awareness of who you should be

This is very important for anyone who wants to live at their best. But, it becomes possible through Jesus Christ. It happened through Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension into heaven.

Jesus raising from the dead and going into heaven has made access to God open to all those who believe in Him.

There are 3 benefits that come with this full access to God. When you take advantage of it, like connecting daily with God, or as often as you can, you will experience benefits of doing so.

First, you receive God’s nature and recover who you should truly be

You are only able to have God’s nature through God’s work in you. This was made possible as a result of what Jesus Christ came to do for all of us. By doing what He did, God welcomed us back to Himself. You and I are sons and daughters of God through faith in Jesus Christ. This is not the work of blood and flesh (John 1: 12-13).

Being children of God is what we were made for, which humankind lost through Adam and Eve falling into sin (Genesis 3).

It is in God and through Jesus Christ we can now recovered our identity. In God and because of Jesus Christ, we live, move and have our being (Acts 17: 28).

In addition, the mind that was on Christ will be on you. Your life changes for the better for as long as you stay connected with God. Otherwise, there is no life, moving and being.

Jesus, being the true vine and we the branches (John 15: 1-8), in order to live and bear fruit, we have to stay connected to Him.

Second, you receive God’s power

This power gives you the right to call yourself a child of the Living God (John 1:12). Also, it allows you to influence your environment. By influence, I mean, your life changes everyone and everything around you for the glory of God.

Third, you receive God’s strength

With God’s strength, nothing or no one can break or change you. You are able to choose never to conform to the world. That is because you’ve been renewed (Romans 12: 1-2).

You face the future unafraid

Jesus has already gone through what you’re facing right now. He is in touch with every single reality of your life. He has been through weaknesses and testing on your behalf. Jesus has experience your life prior to you even being born. He went through every single detail of your life ahead of you.

That is why the Bible calls Him our pioneer and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12: 2).

As a result, you walk into your future unafraid, knowing that Jesus is ahead of you. Nothing of whatever you face is new to God. You truly are in very good and reliable hands. Therefore, fear not as you move forward into your future!

You overcome temptations and trials

Jesus was tested (tempted), but never sinned (Hebrews 4: 14). You victory over temptations and trials does not come from you. It comes from Jesus. He is able to help all those who are tempted (Hebrews 2: 18).

You have God’s favor

There are two things that happen here.

  • You have God’s grace with you. God’s purpose, before you were born, makes you a full package for life.
  • You have God’s help whenever you need it. Every time, you get stuck, God is always there to come to your rescue. What you’ve got to do is to pray and listen to God’s voice through a life of spiritual discipline.

So, having God in your life, you have so much that nothing or no none should stop you from being the best of yourself!
