A Christian Is a Person Who Does The Will of God

Remember that you’re a Christian …

A christian is simply a person who does the will of God. His or her purpose in life is to please God, no matter what! Doing God’s will is doing the following.

Doing the will of God is to rely on God’s grace. ⠀⠀ ⠀

Here’s what God’s grace does for you:⠀⠀ ⠀

  • God’s grace allows you to experience God’s salvation in your daily living. God’s salvation means God’s presence in your life. You will have the assurance of God being with you this day and always.⠀⠀ ⠀
  • God’s grace trains you to renounce a sinful way of life. Our human desires are not godly by nature because of our sinful nature. But, with God’s grace, you become able to choose to follow Jesus. You are empowered to reject any lifestyle that does not go along with God’s Word.⠀ ⠀
  • God’s grace helps you to live a self-controlled, upright and godly life. In addition to being empowered, God’s grace gives you the tools you need to have control in your life.⠀ ⠀

You become able to control your emotions, feelings, desires, thoughts and drives. You have the tools to help you align your life with what God wants you to be and do.

Doing the will of God is to show brotherly or sisterly love to others.

  • Faith propels you to love all people. Do what you do out of faith and obedience to God. That way, your love for people will never depend on only how you feel. Nor will it depend on what’s going on in your life of their life.⠀ ⠀
  • You belong to a community of believers. In case you have no Church or small group, find one to join. This will help you grow spiritually.
  • You are connected to other brothers and sisters in Christ through the blood of Jesus Christ. God gave up His only Son who died on a cross as the sacrificial lamb for our redemption.⠀⠀ ⠀

Faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ unlocks God’s grace and salvation in our lives. That’s what makes you and I Christians. Let no one or nothing change that in you!⠀ ⠀

As a Christian, show some love by sharing this reflection with someone you know. Thank you very much for doing so!
